North Rock Hill Road between Kirkham Avenue and Oak Street will be closed beginning Monday, June 26 for bridge replacement. Rock Hill is anticipated to re-open on October 20. Traffic will be detoured to North Gore Avenue during the closure.
The improvements include the removal of the existing bridge over Shady Creek and replacement with a new bridge that will provide for two 12 foot driving lanes, with 5 foot shoulders and sidewalks on both sides of the bridge. The existing street pavement between Kirkham Avenue and Oak Street will be replaced in order to accommodate the width of the new bridge. New decorative street lighting will also be provided along the limits of improvement.
